KOVIO Limited is seeking reliable, compassionate and experienced Support Workers to join our growing agency team, providing flexible staffing support to adult social care and supported living services.

As an Agency Support Worker, you will work within a variety of adult social care settings, supporting individuals with different needs to maintain their independence, wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.
This is an ad hoc agency role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work a variety of shifts according to your availability and the requirements of our clients.
Duties
Depending on the service and the needs of the individuals you are supporting, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing person-centred support in accordance with individual care and support plans
- Supporting adults to maintain and develop their independence and daily living skills
- Assisting with personal care where required, while maintaining dignity, privacy and choice
- Supporting with meal preparation, shopping and household tasks
- Supporting individuals to access their local community, appointments, activities and social opportunities
- Providing emotional and practical support
- Promoting choice, independence, inclusion and positive outcomes
- Supporting individuals with communication and encouraging active participation in decisions about their lives
- Following care plans, risk assessments and established service procedures
- Recognising and reporting changes in an individual's wellbeing or support needs
- Maintaining accurate records, daily notes and other required documentation
- Following safeguarding procedures and reporting any concerns appropriately
- Working professionally alongside permanent staff, management and other professionals
- Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries at all times
- Providing a safe, respectful and supportive environment for the individuals you support
Responsibilities will vary depending on the individual service and client requirements.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for Support Workers who are:
- Experienced within adult social care, supported living or a similar care environment
- Compassionate, respectful and committed to person-centred support
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Confident working with adults with a range of support needs
- Able to promote independence while providing appropriate support
- Able to follow care plans, risk assessments, policies and procedures
- Comfortable working within different services and adapting to different environments
- Able to communicate effectively with individuals, colleagues and professionals
- Able to maintain clear and accurate records
- Understanding of safeguarding adults and the importance of reporting concerns
- Respectful of confidentiality, dignity, choice and individual rights
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Patient, resilient and adaptable
Previous experience working within adult social care or supported living is required.
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and/or other complex support needs would be advantageous.
