Tadpole Tearooms is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our tearoom’s culinary offerings. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and presentation excellence
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
- Lead by example in fostering a positive team environment centred on professionalism and hospitality
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant environment
- Extensive food production and preparation skills across a range of cuisines
- Strong team management capabilities with excellent leadership qualities
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Hands-on experience in cooking, food presentation, and culinary innovation
- Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Food Hygiene minimum Level 2

Hours 8am - 4pm Wednesday - Sunday
