Abbeygate Rest Home is part of the local Broadgate Homes Group and is a small friendly home of just 24 rooms that has a close and friendly team whose priority is delivering care to our residents.
Senior Carer required to work on a two week rolling rota:
Pay £13.70 per hour, paid weekly.
Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent required.
About the Role
Abbeygate Rest Home is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Carer to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and confident in leading and supporting care staff during shifts.
As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents receive the highest standards of care while promoting dignity, independence, choice, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care and support tailored to individual resident needs
- Administer and record medication in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Lead and support care staff during shifts
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and report concerns appropriately
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Ensure care plans are followed and updated as required
- Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate effectively with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Senior Carer in a residential care home
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Experience administering medication
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A caring, professional, and reliable approach to care
- Ability to work the advertised rota, including mandatory alternate weekends
