Field Service Engineer

Salary: £50000 - £60000 (Overtime x1.5)
Hours: 40 hours per week, 08:00–16:30 (Overtime available: first 4 hours at 1.5x, thereafter 2x)
Field Service Engineer Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to deliver machine diagnostics, servicing, and repairs across the full JCB product range. This is a front-facing role that requires strong relationship-building skills, professionalism, and the ability to offer high-quality service solutions. You will also liaise regularly with JCB to ensure a world-class customer service experience.
Field Service Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on construction machinery across all product ranges.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Promote and present a professional company image at all times.
- Work closely with JCB to deliver service solutions and technical feedback.
- Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet service demands.
- Participate in an on-call rota with standby payments and guaranteed overtime.

Field Service Engineer Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) with experience in construction, HGV, or agricultural/heavy plant machinery servicing and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems (open and closed loop), axles, transmissions (manual and power-shift), CAN-bus electrical systems, and experience working on construction plant
- Portfolio of relevant certifications/achievements.
- Full UK driving licence.
