Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Fabrication & Engineering Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on complex fabrication projects, utilising advanced welding techniques and mechanical knowledge to produce precise and durable structural components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding, fabrication, and assembly, with a keen eye for detail and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques specific to welding standards to fabricate structural components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operate fabrication machinery safely and efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality control.
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to ensure precision in assembly and fitting.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into larger structures, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimise processes.
Skills
- Proven experience with TIG welding, with knowledge of welding standards preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes involving sheet metal, structural components, and assembly techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to structural engineering projects.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols during all stages of fabrication.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: £70,000.00 per year
