PART-TIME ROLE ( 15-20 hours p/w) AT BLEND COFFEE CO. - WORTHING
Blend Coffee Co. are looking for a barista with speciality coffee experience to fill a part-time (15-20 hours p/w) role in our Worthing shop. Weekend availability is essential, and it's likely that hours will be split over 2.5 days. All our baristas are highly skilled in speciality coffee and customer service, and we pride ourselves on delivering quality in all aspects of our work.
At Blend Coffee Co. we are proud to serve coffee from Pharmacie Coffee Roasters, with a constantly-rotating single origin espresso always in our hopper, as well as offering a variety of our favourite guest roasters locally and internationally on our brew bar and retail shelves.
We use a La Marzocco Linea Classic in-store, as well as a variety of other high end kit including Victoria Arduino and Mahlkonig grinders.
Blend Coffee Co. was founded in 2018, however the Worthing site was our second opening in back in 2022. Since then, Blend has opened a third site in Lewes and has established itself as one of the premier multi-site coffee companies in Sussex, with a small team offering exceptional service all-year round.
We require our baristas to:
- Dial in espresso by taste (daily)
- Have solid milk texturing and latte art skills
- Provide a warm welcome to each customer
- An eye for cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace
- Offer outstanding customer service
- Strong social skills and willingness to build customer relationships
- Deal with high pressure situations calmly
- Have a passion for coffee
- Be available to work weekends
- Be responsible, reliable and self-disciplined
Training in certain areas can be provided but due to the size of the team, we necessitate a well-trained barista who can join the team and offer an understanding of espresso, filter coffee and customer-focused work from the start.
Hours - 15-20 hours per week:
- 2x full days per week (roughly 7 hours once fully trained)
- 1x short shift per week (roughly 4 hours)
- This role requires a flexible candidate that's able to work a variety of shifts.
- Weekend availability is essential for this role
£12.71 per hour paid monthly + Pension Scheme + Staff Socials.
