Lightstyle London is an established wholesale supplier of decorative lighting, supplying retailers throughout the UK and Europe. We are a small, ambitious business where everyone plays an important role, and we're looking for someone who wants to do the same.
This isn't a typical warehouse job.
We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, communicates well, and wants to become a trusted part of our business. You'll work directly with the Managing Director, helping keep the day-to-day operation running smoothly across our warehouse, logistics, exhibitions, facilities and compliance.
No two days are the same. One day you may be unloading a shipping container, the next preparing an exhibition stand, organising a contractor, carrying out health & safety checks or coordinating deliveries.
As our business continues to grow, so will the role. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
The Role
As our Warehouse & Operations Lead, you'll take responsibility for ensuring our day-to-day operations run efficiently.
This is a hands-on role combining warehouse operations with logistics, facilities management, health & safety and operational support.
You'll become one of the key people within our business, working closely with the Managing Director to solve problems, improve processes and ensure everything runs smoothly.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders.
- Receiving and checking deliveries.
- Organising warehouse storage and maintaining an efficient working environment.
- Coordinating container deliveries and assisting with unloading.
- Operating warehouse equipment, including a Bendi forklift and pedestrian stacker (training can be provided).
- Carrying out stock counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
Logistics & Distribution
- Booking courier and pallet deliveries.
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Liaising with freight companies and customs agents.
- Driving the company Luton van for deliveries, collections and business requirements.
- Assisting with import and export logistics where required.
Health & Safety & Compliance
- Supporting Health & Safety across the business.
- Running Health & Safety meetings.
- Carrying out weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting tests.
- Maintaining Health & Safety records.
- Liaising with external compliance providers.
- Helping ensure the business remains compliant with Health & Safety and fire regulations.
Building & Facilities
- General warehouse and building maintenance.
- Organising repairs and servicing when required.
- Looking after warehouse equipment and vehicles.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the workplace.
Exhibitions & Events
Throughout the year we attend trade exhibitions and seasonal events.
You'll help prepare for these by:
- Loading and unloading exhibition equipment.
- Driving to exhibition venues across the UK.
- Building and dismantling exhibition stands.
- Occasionally staying away overnight.
- Supporting Christmas markets and promotional events.
- Representing Lightstyle London professionally when meeting customers.

You'll be practical, organised and proactive, with the confidence to work independently and the communication skills to keep people informed without being asked.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety and wants to be involved in more than just warehouse work.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Confident driving a Luton van.
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics or operational roles.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks.
- Flexible approach to work, including occasional late finishes and overnight stays for exhibitions.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Desirable Skills
- Bendi forklift licence (training can be provided).
- First Aid qualification.
- Health & Safety experience.
- Import/export or customs knowledge.
- Experience supporting trade exhibitions or events.
