Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Communicate clearly with customers during deliveries, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Manage delivery documentation accurately, including logs, delivery confirmations, and incident reports
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are handled carefully and securely
- Follow company protocols for safety procedures and reporting any vehicle or delivery issues promptly
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude during all interactions with team members and customers
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., driver license or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with team members and customers
- Prior experience in delivery driving, ideally with familiarity in handling different types of cargo
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and safety regulations relevant to commercial driving
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and service
