Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our Day Team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in our care home ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. The hours are full time compromising of 38.5 hours, this will be 4 shifts one week and 3 the next. 12 Hour shifts, 7-7. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives through attentive and personalised care. The Care Assistant will work closely with care plans and communicate effectively with clients and team members to deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Follow individualised care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using our electronic care planning system
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to adapt support accordingly
