We are looking to employ a cook at Thomas Gabrielle Nursing Home in Old Cwmbran.
The position in the nursing home is for 2 days week 1 and 3 days week 2. Please see the shifts below:
One week working two shifts per week, from 6:30am to 2:00 PM. Second week working three shifts per week, from 6:30am to 2:00 PM. Third week working two shifts per week, from 6:30am to 2:00 PM. Fourth week working three shifts per week, from 6:30 to 2:00 PM.
Job Responsibilities
- You will be expected to prepare and cook all meals for the residents living in the home.
- You will be expected to complete all documentation as required by Food standards agency.
- You will be expected to contribute to menu planning.
- You will be expected to ensure the kitchen area is clean at all times and that ordering of stock is completed ensuring budgets and client choice is taken into consideration. Stock rotation is important in this environment.
Qualifications required are food hygiene level 2 and HACCP level 2. Training can be arranged for the successful candidate.
The home prepares nutritional meals and this post is suitable for someone who may not hold any qualification however they are able to prepare, cook and serve nutritional meals.
