A wonderful opportunity has become available for a Qualified or experienced Trainee Dental Nurse to join our team at Grove Mount Dental. We are a well established practice located in Ramsey, Isle of Man, close to the marina. The island offers a relaxed way of life with a very friendly community, we call our practice a “family dental health centre” as we want patients of all ages to enjoy lasting dental health.
Job: Qualified/Trainee Dental Nurse
Salary: TBC dependent on experience
Hours: Full Time or Part Time (Flexible working hours available)
Practice opening hours:
Monday – Thursday 8.30-5.30
Friday 8.30-4.30
Key responsibilities & duties:
- Providing the highest standard of clinical support to our dentists and hygiene therapists
- Perform top quality dental nursing in all procedures in a safe and effective manner
- Prepare equipment, materials, lab work and patients with efficiency and empathy
- Checking stock + preparing orders
- Carrying out audits
- Preparing referrals
- Deliver outstanding customer service experiences
- Ad hoc reception duties
Academic or trade qualifications:
- GDC registered
- Trainees with minimum 6 months will be considered
- Excellent organisation, verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Pearl + Excel desirable but not essential
Work experience and skills:
- Having an ambitious, positive and enthusiastic attitude with a great patient focus
- Variety of roles available for nursing staff and extended duties are actively encouraged, lots of patient interaction and opportunity to work in a busy active team
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Proactive approach
- Computer savvy and able to multitask
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
