Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload packages, including heavy lifting, with proper handling techniques to prevent injury.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses or any issues encountered on the route.
- Verify recipient identities and obtain signatures when required to ensure accurate deliveries.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after shifts.
- Follow all company policies related to delivery procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transportation role is preferred.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential.
- Commercial driving experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with larger vehicles and road regulations.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, especially involving heavy lifting or package handling.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy packages repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools enhances efficiency on the job.
