Job Overview
Weaver Green are a rapidly growing company based at Langage Industrial Park, Plympton. We are looking to recruit an assistant in our busy warehouse. We make beautiful rugs and textiles from recycled plastic bottles.
The ideal candidate will be able to work well with others and use their own initiative when working alone. A good eye for detail is essential and a conscientious work ethic is key.
We also have a sister company in an adjacent warehouse where your time will be also spent preparing, picking and despatching flooring samples.
Duties Include
- Picking and packing orders for despatch efficiently and accurately
- Stocking shelves and organising stock within the warehouse for easy access and optimal space utilisation
- Supporting overall warehouse organisation, cleanliness, and safety compliance at all times
- Using the computer to book in
- Forklift driving
- Preparing smaples
Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during load & unload activities
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts (licence preferred)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing an advantage
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving tasks
- Good understanding of safety protocols in a warehouse environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, proactive, and eager to contribute to a busy warehouse environment. Prior experience in warehousing or logistics will be advantageous but is not necessary. All applicants must be prepared to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
