Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems and be proficient in various related skills. This role requires a hands-on approach to installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing fixtures and systems in both residential and commercial settings. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete plumbing tasks.
- Perform soldering as necessary for pipe fittings and other installations.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or areas for improvement.
- Assemble and install plumbing equipment according to specifications.
- Carry out carpentry work related to plumbing installations when required.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as needed for the movement of materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on site to ensure efficient project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Basic mathematical skills for measuring and calculating material requirements.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily duties.
- Valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues effectively.
