Job Advert: Bus Cleaner
Location: Various Depots, West Yorkshire
Hours: 30 hours per week, 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM (Night Shifts), Wednesday to Saturday
Salary: Competitive, with paid holiday on a pro-rata basis
Probation: 3-month probationary period
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the interior and exterior of buses are cleaned to company specifications and standards each evening.
- Clean buses in preparation for MOTs.
- Carry out additional cleaning tasks in the depot as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is cleaned and stored away after use.
- Travel to other depots/sites to carry out cleaning duties when required. Transport will be provided.
Associated Responsibilities:
- Participate in company training as required.
- Ensure the safety and security of company vehicles and premises.
- Follow Health and Safety regulations, reporting any issues to your supervisor.
- Adhere to company safe systems of work and report any potential risks.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Traffic Supervisor or management.
- Follow company procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook and policies.
Personnel Specification:
Essential Requirements:
- Must be available to work unsociable hours.
- Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative.
- Willingness to travel to other depots/sites as required.
Desirable Requirements:
- A full driving licence (automatic transmission licences accepted).
- Knowledge of safe working practices in a garage environment.
- Good geographical knowledge of West Yorkshire.
