Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, such as a flatbed truck, to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and adherence to safety regulations
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues that may arise
Experience:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Familiarity with flatbed trucks and their operation is preferred
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other routing systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues
