Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport goods across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Manage all aspects of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and secure cargo on flatbed trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure fastening.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, delivery times, and cargo documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness for each journey.
- Uphold all driving laws, safety standards, and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed trailers or similar equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory if qualified.
- Strong knowledge of flatbed loading techniques and cargo securing methods.
- Delivery driver experience that demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to operate heavy-duty trucks confidently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with dispatchers and clients.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to managing routes and vehicle maintenance.
