Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse Trainee or Qualified Dental Nurse to join our modern mixed NHS/private rural dental practice The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality dental services, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and supporting the smooth operation of the practice. This position is for both trainees eager to gain experience and qualified nurses seeking career progression.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort at all times
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, ensuring clear communication
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, adhering to confidentiality protocols
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and liaising with patients
- Uphold infection control procedures diligently to maintain a safe clinical environment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and promote good dental health habits
- Manage stock levels of dental supplies and ensure equipment is properly maintained
Requirements
- Prior experience in patient care or nursing is desirable but not essential for trainees; qualified candidates must hold relevant dental nursing qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate professionalism at all times
- Compassionate attitude towards patients, with a focus on delivering exceptional care
- For trainees, willingness to learn and develop new skills in a clinical environment
Pay: £12.71-£16.00 per hour
