The Company
SevenThreeOne is a non-profit organisation that uses the Creative Industries to further the education and skills of serving prisoners, ex-offenders and disengaged young people. One of the ways we do this is through the provision of training centres based within Prisons and the Community.
Our Ideal Candidate
Will be a passionate, technically adept music producer and sound engineer with the ability and commitment to work independently. They will have current knowledge of the music industry, production software and techniques used in modern music. In addition to the dedication, energy and resolve needed to make a significant difference to the lives of serving prisoners.
Key Responsibilities
- Mix, master, and remix projects across multiple genres
- Utilise synths, pro-audio gear and plugins
- Maintain and troubleshoot MacOS-based DAW laptops and studio hardware
- Keep equipment secure organised and ready for use
- Communicate with the Project Lead, collating data and completing relevant paperwork
Essential Skills
Professional Mixing
5+ years experience of delivering release-ready mixes ( EQ, compression, vocal editing and tuning).
DAWs, Hardware & Plugins
Strong command of any professional DAW and readiness to work in Ableton or Logic. Comfortable with synthesizers, MIDI controllers, drum machines and modern VST instruments and effects.
AKAI MPCs
Proficient in using AKAI MPCs for standalone music production and efficient workflow.
Sampling Techniques
Demonstrable knowledge in finding and manipulating samples in order to breathe life into tracks and elevate the production process, resulting in innovative and unique sounds.
Communication
Excellent written and spoken English, professional manner.
Team Fit
Responsive to feedback, collaborative, organised, punctual, detail-driven and easy-going
