Overview
National Aquatic Training Centre is looking for a qualified, enthusiastic and reliable Swimming Teacher to join our growing swim school in Cardiff.
We are initially looking for a teacher to provide cover work for our existing lessons, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to take on regular weekly lessons from January 2027.
This is a great opportunity for a swimming teacher looking to build a regular teaching schedule with a growing swim school.
Responsibilities
Essential:
- A recognised Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification or equivalent.
Desirable:
- STA or Swim England teaching experience.
- Previous experience teaching small-group swimming lessons.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience working with different swimming abilities and age groups.
- Experience teaching children swimming.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident and competent in the water.
- Reliable and professional.
- Commitment to safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
Opportunity
The successful candidate will initially be offered cover teaching work, with the opportunity to transition into regular weekly lessons from January 2027.
As our swim school continues to grow, there may also be opportunities for additional teaching hours and responsibilities in the future.

Pay: From £17.50 per hour
