The Council’s Finance Department provides a range of effective, efficient and high quality professional services with support to Members, managers, staff, services, schools and a range of external partners in the delivery of the Council’s objectives.
The department is seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant to support the Chief Executives and Social Services & Wellbeing Directorate. The post holder will be required to undertake a wide variety of tasks including :
- Assisting in the preparation and calculation of salary and non-salary budgets for services within the Council.
- Monthly monitoring of expenditure for various services and provision of financial information to Finance Officer.
- Dealing with queries and correspondence in respect of service budgets, including provision of financial information to budget holders.
- Administration of the Internal Charging Process.
