The Quest Academy is seeking to appoint an exceptional Pastoral Director to join our Senior Pastoral Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pastoral leader who is passionate about ensuring every young person feels safe, supported and empowered to achieve their full potential.
As Pastoral Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Academy’s pastoral provision, leading on safeguarding, inclusion, student wellbeing and behaviour. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee complex pastoral cases, support colleagues in delivering outstanding pastoral care and help create an environment where students can flourish both academically and personally.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient and confident in working with young people. You will be able to build strong relationships, uphold clear boundaries and communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues.
Experience of working with children or young people is essential, and you will be well-organised, reliable and professional at all times. Training in behaviour management, de-escalation and safeguarding will be provided as part of your induction.
The successful candidate will be committed to The Quest Academy’s values of integrity, compassion, respect and courage, and to helping our students make positive choices every day.
The Quest Academy
At The Quest Academy we know that having great people is our biggest asset and we work very hard to make sure that the posts we offer, the professional development we provide and the environment we create ensure staff are valued, impactful and fulfilled in their roles. Our motto, ‘learning changes lives’ succinctly describes our mission: to improve the life chances of all of our young people by enabling them to achieve outstanding qualifications and develop the personal characteristics necessary to lead fulfilling adult lives. This motto goes further than our students, however. It is also true for staff, and the school community as a whole. We believe that by creating the opportunity and environment in which staff can flourish, they too can enjoy transformational learning. In essence, this is what makes The Quest Academy such an enjoyable and fulfilling place to teach. If you share our passion and drive for education, and would like to join us on our journey, we would very much welcome an application from you.
