Early Years Educator – Apprenticeship Opportunity Level 2 / Level 3
Location: Summerfield Day Nursery, Lytham St Annes
Hours: Part-time 24-32 hours per week
Apprenticeship Wage: Maximum £8.50 based on experience
Contract: Fixed Term – duration of apprenticeship

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Modern Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to build your career in Early Years Education while working alongside experienced practitioners in a vibrant, supportive setting.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the planning and delivery of exciting, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS
- Build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families
- Learn how to observe, assess and record children’s development
- Help to create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment
- Contribute to daily routines including snack time, toileting, and play
- Follow the setting’s Safeguarding and Whistleblowing policies at all times
Essential Criteria:
- A genuine interest in working with children aged 0–5
- Willingness to commit to studying for the Level 2 / Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship qualification
- A caring, responsible, and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and willingness to:
- Learn how to recognise signs of abuse or neglect
- Follow the correct safeguarding procedures
- Follow the setting’s Whistleblowing Policy when necessary
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or willingness to work towards functional skills as part of the apprenticeship)
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience working or volunteering with children
- Basic knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Awareness of child development and inclusive practice
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career in Early Years Education
