Job Title: Community Care Business Development Manager
Reporting to: Director of Community Care
Location: Covering the South, including Bristol, Kent, Southampton and Plymouth, this is a flexible, largely remote role with regular travel to stakeholder meetings, events and conferences.
Salary: £50,000 pa + up to £30,000 bonus + Car Allowance £4,800 pa
Contract type: Full time
Working Pattern: Core working hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm

Who are you?
We’re looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager – Community Care to help shape and grow our Community Care services across the South.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated relationship builder who thrives on spotting opportunities, creating partnerships and turning ideas into meaningful growth.
Working closely with the Director of Community Care and our regional teams, you’ll play a key role in developing new business and delivering tailored care solutions that genuinely make a difference.
What will you do?
Whilst a full job description can be supplied here are a few of the key responsibilities for the role:
You’ll take the lead in identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and creating partnerships that deliver long-term value.
Your role will include:
- Developing and delivering innovative business development strategies across the region.
- Building trusted relationships with social services, commissioning teams, ICBs, case managers and other key stakeholders.
- Identifying new opportunities, generating leads and securing new business.
- Attending stakeholder meetings, partnership visits, events and conferences to grow our network.
- Identifying tender opportunities and working closely with the tenders team on successful bids.
- Working with Registered Managers and the National Nurse Team to develop tailored Community Care solutions.
- Understanding market trends, competitors, costs, compliance and risk to support commercially sound proposals.
- Managing your own pipeline, priorities and targets while delivering against agreed business plans and OKRs.
- Bringing fresh ideas, energy and an entrepreneurial approach to how we grow our Community Care offering.
What we’ll be looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is driven, commercially minded and passionate about quality care. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Experience within healthcare, social care or the acute healthcare market.
- A strong understanding of Community Care and its operational delivery.
- A proven track record of working towards and achieving targets.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- The confidence to engage with senior decision-makers and develop meaningful partnerships.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to spot opportunities and turn them into results.
- The ability to work autonomously while being a collaborative team player.
- Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine commitment to quality delivery and exceptional customer service.
Flexible working that works for you
Enjoy a flexible, largely remote role with the autonomy to plan and manage your own diary, prioritising meetings, stakeholder visits, events and business development activity across the region. Typically, BDMs spend around 2 days a week out in the field, with the remainder working remotely, giving you the freedom to structure your time around your priorities and adapt to busy periods.
