A welcoming and supportive primary school in Blackley is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September until the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about providing high-quality early years education and creating a nurturing environment where young children can thrive.
About the Role
You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework, creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported. You will work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to promote children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning opportunities in line with the EYFS Framework.
- Assess, monitor, and record children's progress, adapting learning experiences to meet individual needs.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and well-organised learning environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Support children with additional needs, working collaboratively with the SENCO and support staff.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Promote positive behaviour and support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
- Fulfil all professional responsibilities in line with the Teachers' Standards.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
- Has experience teaching in a UK primary school setting (placements accepted for ECTs).
- Has a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and early childhood development.
- Demonstrates confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Is caring, enthusiastic, and committed to providing the best possible start to children's education.
- Has the right to work in the UK and is available to work full-time from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous experience teaching within an EYFS setting.
- Experience supporting children with SEND.
- Knowledge of early phonics and early language development.
