Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home specialising in assisted living and senior care. Duties
- Manage the overall operation of the care home, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans for residents, including those with dementia or requiring Alzheimer's care
- Supervise and support nursing staff and carers, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervision experience
- Oversee medication administration, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed
- Coordinate staff rotas and manage resource allocation to optimise service delivery
- Monitor quality assurance processes and conduct regular audits to maintain high standards of care
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate resident care effectively
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in resident wellbeing and staff development
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in nursing within care / nursing home settings.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with previous supervising experience in a care home or similar environment
- Registered Nurse qualification recognised within the UK (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of dementia care principles, Alzheimer’s care strategies, and medication administration protocols
- Familiarity with developing personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills suitable for working with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team.
Pay: £48,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
