To support in our expansion strategy, we're looking for an Assisitant Manager Designate to join us in our journey. The successful candidate will begin their career with us in our Imaginarium store, from appointment and throughout the Christmas period. In the New Year they'll enter into a wider training programe across some of our other York Stores, including The Yorkshire Soap shop and the Society of Alchemists'. The role will be suited to an experienced Assistant Manager with a good track record in either retail or hospitality. An understanding of KPI's and sales would be expected. A background in beauty and gifting products would be usefull, but not essential. The successful candiate will also be able to demonstrate experience of delivering exceptional service and retail standards.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced assistant manager wanting to take the next step in their management career. We want someone who is commercially focused, highly organised and structured in approach, is a strong leader and has a strong vision on how our shops are presented to our customers, whilst thriving in a busy environment.
Job Description:
· Managing and overseeing shop operations, ensuring efficient functioning of the shop, managing the sales floor and providing maximum profitability.
· Human resources including recruiting, training, managing rotas, assigning responsibilities, performance management and setting sales targets.
· Administering accounting functions, meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales and financial targets, managing budgets and generating payroll.
· Controlling inventory to ensure sufficient stock, daily and weekly counts, rotated and changed by seasons and sales.
· Delivering exceptional customer service, setting criteria for team, establishing security and safety measures and compliance.
· Adding additional touches of magic!
