Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods across various locations, primarily utilising curtainsider trailers, and undertaking long-distance journeys. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers to work within a dynamic environment, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Driving an HGV Class 1 Artic, with predominantly curtainsider trailers, while adhering to all road safety and traffic regulations
- Conducting walk around checks on the vehicles to ensure that safety and compliance standards are met.
- Delivering goods efficiently to multiple destinations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures
- Securing loads appropriately where required to do so to maintain safety during transit
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including PODS and vehicle logs
- Follow the working time directive regarding driving hours and rest periods to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues during deliveries
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to the management team
Experience:
- Valid driving licence for HGV Class 1 (C+E) with no more than six penalty points
- Knowledge of road regulations and safety procedures relevant to long-distance driving and transportation.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with loading, off loading and securing loads.
- Prior experience in a tramper role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience in general haulage (preferred)
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently while representing the company well
- Reliability and good communication skills

Pay: £190.00-£195.00 per day
