Role: Assembly Operative
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
Department: Operations / Assembly
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday 7:30am–1:30pm
Start Date: Immediate Starts Available
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assembly Operative to join our longstanding client in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This hands‑on role supports production and is ideal for an individual who enjoys physical, practical work and thrives in a fast‑paced environment. As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for tyre slaving, stillage preparation and operating air‑powered tools safely and effectively.

The Role:
- Assemble and slave tyres according to production requirements
- Degrease components using appropriate cleaning methods
- Operate a range of air‑powered hand tools
- Prepare and assemble stillages for dispatch
- Carry out manual handling tasks
- Follow all health & safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Meet daily production targets and quality standards
- Report faults, defects or safety concerns to the supervisor
The Requirements:
- Ability to perform manual, physically demanding work
- Comfortable using hand and air‑powered tools
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience (desirable)
- Experience with tyres, stillages or similar components (desirable)
