As an experienced mechanic you would be involved in carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to our expanding modern fleet of buses and coaches based on White Lund Industrial Estate, Morecambe.
Key responsibilities include
Preventative Maintenance Inspections
MOT Preparation & Presentations
Carry out servicing and maintenance
Diagnose faults & repair defects
Attend vehicle breakdowns
Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair tasks
Qualifications & Essential Skills include:
Recognised apprenticeship as a BUS Mechanic/PCV/PSV Technician and hold NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and engines
Enjoy problem solving and produce a high quality of workmanship
Full UK car licence (Category C)
General level of computer literacy
Desirable Skills include:
(Category D) PCV License (successful candidate will be trained to attain a PCV license if they do not currently have it.)
Experience working with digital fleet management software
Experience using diagnostics software
Typical schedule:
- 7.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 6.00am - 10.00am on a rota basis.
- Options can be discussed for flexible working or 4-day work week etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour
