Oxfordshire & Thames Valley | Freelance / Temporary
Leda Group are working with multiple established main contractors across Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley who require experienced Site Managers for short-term holiday cover and temporary assignments.
Assignments will vary from a few days through to several weeks, making these opportunities ideal for freelance Site Managers looking to fill gaps between longer-term contracts.
The Role
Depending on the project and contractor, responsibilities may include:
- Day-to-day management of live construction sites
- Providing holiday cover for existing Site and Project Managers
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors and trades
- Monitoring health & safety and ensuring site procedures are followed
- Reviewing RAMS and carrying out site inductions
- Maintaining programme, quality and site standards
- Managing site logistics and resolving day-to-day issues
- Providing clear handovers to the returning Site/Project Manager
Experience Required
- Proven Site Manager experience with a UK main contractor
- Comfortable taking control of an established live site
- Experience across commercial, education, healthcare, refurbishment or similar projects
- Strong subcontractor management skills
- Able to quickly understand existing site procedures and programmes
- Professional and confident dealing with clients and site teams

Experience:
- Commercial Construction: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- SMSTS (required)
- First Aid Certification (required)
