Base: South Oxfordshire & Vale of White Horse or Oxford City or Cherwell & West Oxfordshire

About the Role and the Service
We are currently looking to recruit a Locum Wellbeing Worker and would really welcome applications for it.
The Localities Service provides holistic wellbeing support to anyone in Oxfordshire experiencing a mental health issue or poor mental wellbeing, empowering people in their own recovery. They offer an initial Options session to help people identify their wellbeing support needs and signpost to a wide range of services available within Oxfordshire Mind and in the local community. They offer a broad range of peer support groups and short courses to enable people to learn tools and strategies to improve their wellbeing.
The Wellbeing Worker provides support to service-users around their mental health through building positive relationships and empowering service users to achieve their wellbeing goals and through the delivery of Options sessions and facilitation of peer support groups and short courses.
About You
We would really like to know how your skills and experience match our requirements. If you feel they do, please tell us how you meet the below requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of mental health issues and the needs of people living with mental health problems
- An understanding of good practice in safeguarding Children and Adults
- Experience of working within mental health, wellbeing or similar services
- Experience of working in a demanding environment
- Experience of working as part of a team and communicating effectively
- Experience of working with individuals or groups, enabling them to identify their own goals to support personal wellbeing and recovery, and helping them to pursue these.
- Ability to work both collaboratively as a team and independently
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
- Ability to confidently use IT systems and software at a basic level
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Knowledge/Understanding of our values
