Lithgow Transport EA Ltd is looking for a reliable, caring and professional School Transport Driver to join our growing team.
This is a permanent, term-time position with guaranteed 16 hours per week, plus additional ad hoc hours available to cover sickness, holidays and extra contracts.
Your salary is paid equally over 12 months, meaning you’ll continue to receive a monthly wage during the school holidays, similar to the way school staff are paid.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for safely transporting children to and from school in either a company car or minibus while providing a friendly, professional and reliable service.
The role is based around Coylton and Ayr and operates during school term time.
Approximate working hours:
- Morning: 8:00am – 9:30am
- Monday & Tuesday afternoons: 3:00pm – 4:30pm
- Wednesday, Thursday & Friday afternoons: 2:40pm – 3:30pm
(Hours may vary slightly depending on the route.)
Responsibilities
- Safely transport children to and from school.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service to pupils, parents and schools.
- Follow all safeguarding and company procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Over 25 years of age.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Friendly, patient and enjoys working with children.
- Able to pass a PVG/Disclosure Scotland check.
- Previous driving or school transport experience is desirable but not essential.
