Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a top-tier Hard Landscaper / Team Leader who can take ownership of projects and deliver work to a consistently high standard.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced landscaper who can run jobs from start to finish with minimal supervision.
You will be working on domestic projects across Wakefield, Dewsbury and surrounding areas, either independently or leading a small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Running landscaping projects from start to completion
- Leading and managing a small team on-site
- Setting out jobs, levels, falls, and ensuring correct build-up
- Installing patios (porcelain & natural stone) to a high standard
- Driveways including block paving, resin, and tarmac
- Fencing, decking, sleeper work, retaining walls, and steps
- Groundworks, drainage, excavation, and site preparation
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional site
- Communicating confidently with customers when required
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in their work and has strong attention to detail
- Has 5+ years experience in hard landscaping
- Can run jobs independently without supervision
- Is confident leading a team and managing workflow
- Is reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated
- Presents well and communicates professionally with customers
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in hard landscaping and groundworks
- High standard of work in:
- Porcelain & natural stone patios
- Fencing & decking
- Sleeper work & retaining walls
- Drainage & full site preparation
- Ability to set levels and work from plans/specifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to drive a van / tipper
- Portfolio or photos of previous work
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience operating mini diggers / excavators
- Ability to tow
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. LANTRA) are beneficial, but proven experience is essential
- General landscaping or horticultural knowledge
