We are looking for a reliable and confident individual to help us with walking dogs in a group and solo environment and also the occasional drop in pet visit. The role includes driving around a van picking up and dropping off dogs to and from their homes and accessing peoples properties. The right candidate will have to be able to work effectively on their own, following our direction but also be able to work as a part of our small and hard working team. You must be happy to be out in all weather rain or shine, get wet, muddy and dirty and help with the messy parts of the job. You also need to be 100% confident in working with all types of dogs, small and large. The position is part-time of 2-3 days a week and extra days when covering staff holidays so must have availability to be flexible. There is the likelihood of increasing hours in the future based on performance and available hours.
Must love animals, especially dogs and be enthusiastic for the work we do! Driving is essential with a minimum age requirement due to insurance for this role and previous experience in driving a van is beneficial but not mandatory. This would be an ideal position for someone looking for a fun and adventurous job or someone just wanting to do something a bit different. Experience working with animals is excellent but not essential but confidence is key to be successful in this position. Please note a lot of time you will be working alone so need to be confident in doing so and confident handling dogs alone. Full training will be provided and there will be access to a work vehicle to use during our hours for work purposes.
