We are currently recruiting experienced Tarmac Operatives to join our surfacing team across a range of highways, infrastructure, and civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for hardworking individuals with surfacing experience who are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Working as part of a professional surfacing crew delivering high-quality tarmac and asphalt works.
- Laying, levelling, raking, and compacting asphalt and tarmac materials to specification.
- Operating plant and surfacing equipment safely and efficiently where qualified to do so.
- Supporting paving operations and assisting with both machine and hand-lay surfacing activities.
- Conducting daily equipment checks and reporting any defects.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Following all company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Ensuring work is completed to the highest standards of quality and productivity.
Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience within tarmac, asphalt, surfacing, highways, or civil engineering works (essential).
- Good understanding of site safety requirements and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious approach.
- Good communication skills.
- Relevant plant tickets or qualifications (e.g., Roller, Paver, CPCS, NPORS) are advantageous but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
