Bison Assist Ltd is growing, and we’re looking for motivated individuals to join our team as self-employed Health & Safety Risk Assessors.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either:
- Experienced Health & Safety professionals looking for flexible assessment work, or
- Individuals wanting to start a career in Health & Safety with full training and support provided
FULL TRAINING PROVIDED
If you already have a Health & Safety / SHEQ background or Fire Risk Assessment qualifications, that is highly beneficial. However, if not, full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you gain the required knowledge and certifications.
Salary: £120 per day (depending on training and experience)
Job Type: Part-Time, Self-Employed Contract
Working Hours: Flexible 2–4 days per week, Monday to Friday
Weekend Work: No weekends required
Please note that customer sites can vary from being very local to further afield depending on workload and scheduling requirements.
Assessors are generally scheduled within an approximate 120-mile radius from their home location where possible, although some sites may be significantly closer. This refers to the distance to customer sites rather than a total daily mileage limit, therefore return travel should also be considered.
Some days may involve visiting multiple sites or travelling longer distances, although the scheduling team will always aim to keep travel as reasonable and manageable as possible. Occasional overnight stays may also be required where workloads or customer locations mean this radius needs to be exceeded.
Key Requirements (Mandatory)
To be considered for this role, you will need:
· NEBOSH General Certificate
· Full UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle (business insurance required – mileage paid)
· iPad or tablet to access company software
· Legionella thermometer kit
· Digital laser distance measuring tool
· PPE (Safety shoes, high vis, safety hat, individual first aid kit) – Occasionally required
