Established over 100 years ago, the practice has proudly cared for generations of local families. The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our reception team in a role that offers responsibility, variety and career development.
You will play a key role in ensuring our reception runs smoothly while delivering exceptional service to our patients. For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to develop into our Lead Receptionist, with full training, support and mentoring provided.
Whether you already have dental reception experience or bring transferable skills from another customer-focused environment, we are looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer care.
Key Responsibilities
As part of our reception team, you will:
- Welcome patients with a warm, friendly and professional manner.
- Manage a busy appointment diary efficiently and accurately.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to emails and assist with patient enquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is always maintained.
- Process payments, manage patient accounts and complete daily banking.
- Support clinicians and the wider team with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
- Explain the benefits of our Denplan membership scheme and support patient retention.
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve the patient experience.
- Develop the skills and knowledge required to progress into Lead Reception responsibilities.
About You

Previous experience in a dental practice would be an advantage but is not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in healthcare, veterinary practices, opticians, hospitality, retail or other customer-focused roles.
If you have the right attitude, excellent organisational skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer care, we will provide the training and support needed to help you develop into a successful Lead Receptionist.
