Summary of the Role
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team based at our Grantham laundry plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery and collection of customer laundry, ensuring excellent customer service while complying with all company policies and transport legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect customer laundry accurately and on schedule.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently each day.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with company procedures and statutory requirements.
- Manage vehicle stock, ensuring its security, storage, and accurate control at all times.
- Provide a high standard of customer service and act as a professional representative of the company.
- Report customer queries, service issues, and route anomalies promptly using company procedures.
- Liaise with the Customer Service Team regarding any customer concerns or operational issues.
- Keep the Distribution Team Leader and Service Office Manager informed of shortages, delays, or delivery issues to enable appropriate corrective action.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies, road traffic regulations, and company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and professionalism.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the business.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work.
- Ability to carry out manual handling and lifting duties.
