We are seeking a highly experienced and decisive Operations Duty Manager to oversee real-time flight operations and act as the senior operational authority during shift. This role is critical in maintaining operational control, leading teams, and delivering a seamless experience for our Owners and clients.
The Role
As Operations Duty Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of the business during your shift. Acting as the central decision-maker, you will coordinate across all operational functions, manage disruption, and ensure every flight operates safely, compliantly, and to Flexjet’s premium standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily flight operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient scheduling and execution across the network
- Act as the senior escalation point for operational issues, including Owner Services and high-priority client matters
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations Control, Scheduling, Crew Dispatch, and Maintenance
- Manage AOG events, disruptions, and emergencies, ensuring timely, effective response and stakeholder alignment
- Ensure full compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and company procedures
- Oversee crew planning and readiness, ensuring legal compliance, suitability, and operational efficiency
- Drive operational performance by identifying efficiency improvements, cost optimisation, and service enhancements
- Maintain oversight of operational reporting, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
You are a confident and experienced aviation leader, capable of making high-impact decisions under pressure while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and service delivery.
Essential:
- Extensive experience within an aviation operations environment, ideally in a supervisory or managerial role (business aviation or fractional ownership operations would be advantageous)
- Strong understanding of international flight operations and planning, including long-range/ETOPS operations
- Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate across multiple operational functions
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills in time-critical situations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience with high-value or VIP clients
- High level of professionalism, resilience, and ability to perform under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems
Working Pattern
- 4 on / 4 off rotation
- 12-hour shifts covering days and evenings
- Flexibility required to support operational and business needs
