Are you an experienced Health & Safety Advisor looking to work on one of the UK's largest and most exciting construction projects?
Our client is a leading international contractor delivering complex data centre, mission-critical and commercial developments across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a flagship hyperscale data centre project in Coventry.

The Role
Reporting to the Project HSE Manager, you'll play a key role in creating and maintaining a positive safety culture across a major live construction project. You'll work closely with site teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the implementation of the project's Health & Safety Management System.
- Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and safety tours.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
- Reviewing RAMS, permits to work and safe systems of work.
- Monitoring subcontractor safety performance and compliance.
- Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying corrective actions.
- Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Assisting with project safety documentation and reporting.
- Promoting a proactive, positive safety culture across the site.
- Working closely with project management, clients and external stakeholders.
- Tracking safety observations through to completion.
- Supporting emergency planning and site preparedness.
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 standards.
What We're Looking For
- Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or similar).
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within construction.
- Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation.
- Experience carrying out site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Data centre or mission-critical project experience.
- Pharmaceutical, industrial or major build project experience.
- IOSH Membership.
- Chartered status or working towards Chartered membership.
- Experience working for a Tier 1 or international contractor.
