Overview
Join our dynamic cybersecurity team as an Information Security Analyst and become a vital defender of our organization's digital assets. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our network infrastructure, implementing security protocols, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST and ISO 27002. Your expertise will help us proactively identify vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, and maintain a resilient security posture across diverse environments including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems. This position offers an energetic environment where your skills will directly impact our company's integrity and trustworthiness in the digital landscape.
Duties
- Monitor and analyze network traffic using SIEM tools like Splunk or SolarWinds to detect suspicious activity and potential threats.
- Implement and manage security controls such as firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and encryption protocols to protect data in transit and at rest.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and cloud architecture.
- Develop and enforce security policies aligned with NIST standards, ISO 27002 guidelines, and ITIL best practices for incident management and disaster recovery.
- Manage network support tasks including configuring routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), load balancing, high availability setups, and network installation procedures.
- Oversee system administration across various operating systems such as Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), macOS, and Android/iOS environments.
- Lead incident response efforts by investigating security breaches using tools like Fiddler or SolarWinds, documenting findings, and coordinating remediation actions.
- Support cloud computing initiatives utilizing AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or VMware vSphere to ensure secure cloud infrastructure deployment.
- Maintain knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS), network architecture design principles, and open-source tools like Ansible or Terraform for automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure DevOps practices within SDLC frameworks while supporting network management tasks such as LDAP integration or PowerShell scripting.
Experience
- Proven experience in information security or network engineering roles with a strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN design and TCP/IP stack.
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing security devices such as Cisco ISE, Cisco routers/switches, Juniper devices, or Palo Alto firewalls.
- Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM platforms like Splunk or SolarWinds, and incident management processes aligned with ITIL standards.
- Knowledge of encryption technologies including PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) implementations and SSL/TLS protocols for securing communications.
- Experience working within cloud environments (AWS or Azure), deploying secure cloud architecture solutions using PaaS/IaaS models.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation tasks related to system administration or network support.
- Ability to interpret network protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS; implement VPNs (IPsec); configure load balancers; and support disaster recovery strategies.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH or Cisco CCNP Security are highly desirable to demonstrate expertise in cybersecurity fundamentals.
