What You'll Be Doing
As a Children's Home Support Worker, you will:
✅ Provide day-to-day care, support, and supervision to children and young people.
✅ Promote independence, confidence, and personal development.
✅ Follow individual care plans, support plans, and behaviour support plans consistently.
✅ Support children and young people with education, activities, appointments, and daily routines.
✅ Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
✅ Build positive, trusting, and professional relationships.
✅ Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning.
✅ Create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic home environment where young people feel valued and supported.
What We're Looking For

- Flexible and able to work a varied rota, including weekends and school holidays.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience supporting children, young people, or individuals with learning disabilities is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is desirable.
- Candidates who do not currently hold this qualification must be willing to undertake and complete it within the timescales set out in the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
Working Hours
Our home operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide consistent care and support for our children and young people.
Day shifts are worked on a flexible rota and may include:
8:00am – 8:00pm
8:00am – 2:00pm
2:00pm – 8:00pm
3:00pm – 8:00pm
4:00pm – 10:00pm
Shifts are available Monday to Sunday and include weekends, bank holidays, school holidays, and festive periods. As a residential service, we remain open throughout the year, including Christmas, Easter, and New Year.
