We have over 185 employees that we are proud to have represent us, operating from our offices in Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, and Glasgow. As the business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our team by recruiting a senior grade civil/structural engineer to work out of our Stockport office 3 days a week, with home working or site/client travel on the other 2 days.
- A good degree in either Civil or Structural Engineering;
- Have achieved, or be actively working towards, ICE or IStructE professional chartered membership;
- Recent technical experience gained with civils projects; ideally from a consultancy, with renewable energy or electrical transmission project knowledge
- Experience of conducting quality inspections of materials and methods such as pre-formed and cast concrete
- structures, drainage, and steelwork
- A good understanding of foundation piling, UK and European building codes and geotechnical studies
- The ability to produce and explain high quality technical reports and feasibility studies for clients
- Comfortable in interpreting engineering drawings, design specifications and functional descriptions
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and risk assessments, able to identify quality issues and design risks
- Able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary project team
- A full driving licence and vehicle for travel to sites/meetings
