Your impact
As an established Civil Engineer and NEC4 ECC Site Supervisor, you'll join our growing Water Catchment Management Team in one of several newly created positions, supporting the delivery of nationally significant flood defence and resilience projects across the UK.
This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in protecting communities, infrastructure and the environment through the successful delivery of complex construction and flood risk management schemes. Working alongside project managers, contractors, stakeholders and multidisciplinary delivery teams, you will provide site-based leadership and technical oversight throughout the construction lifecycle.
Your remit will include:
Act as ECC Site Supervisor on major flood defence and civil infrastructure projects delivered under NEC4 contracts.
Monitor and reporting contractor performance and progress to the ECC Project Manager.
Support effective communication between clients, contractors, designers and project stakeholders throughout project delivery
Review contractor compliance with specifications, drawings, design requirements, quality standards, change control procedures and relevant codes of practice.
Support the administration, change control and delivery of NEC4 contracts, ensuring contractual obligations and project objectives are achieved.
Collaborate closely with Principal Contractors to develop and maintain robust construction programmes, risk management processes and change control procedures.
Facilitate the successful delivery of key project milestones through proactive site engagement and stakeholder coordination.
Undertake site inspections and surveillance activities to verify workmanship, quality and compliance with approved construction documentation.
Promote a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across all project activities.
Ensure processes are in place across all aspects of Health and Safety.

Here's what you'll need
We'd be delighted to hear from candidates who can demonstrate a blend of the following:
Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject.
Established experience of earthworks and excavation, foundation construction, Wall construction (concrete, sheet pile, or piled solutions).
Proven experience operating as an NEC3 or NEC4 ECC Site Supervisor on infrastructure or construction projects.
Sound understanding of NEC ECC contract administration and site supervision responsibilities.
An established track record delivering civil engineering Infrastructure projects through construction.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach to collaborating with with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Familiar with Safety, Health, Environment and Wellbeing Codes of Practice.
Experience of earthworks, flood defence assets, river engineering, drainage, water management or heavy civil engineering schemes would be highly advantageous.
