About WSAPC
West Sussex Alternative Provision College (WSAPC) is an educational establishment based across the county on seven separate sites, providing education for pupils whom are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion or too ill to attend school. Our ethos is to provide FOCUS (Future, Opportunities:, Curriculum, Us, School) for our pupils to re-engage them in their learning and support re-integration to mainstream provision.
What we are looking for:
Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in the classroom. We are seeking an individual who can support our teachers and motivate and encourage our pupils.

Can you make a difference to pupils who need extra help and support with their learning?
Do you want to join a friendly and committed team to working with young people who may present with challenging behaviours.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, commitment and a positive approach and attitude.
About You
- Be excellent practitioners with high expectations of all pupils
- Be passionate about child-centred learning
- Have excellent organisational and communication skills and enjoy working in a team
- Preferably have experience of working with young people
- Be able to make a positive contribution to the ethos of our school
- Have a firm commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities for all
What You Need to Succeed
Criteria for role:
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C/4 or above (O’Level also accepted) (Essential)
- A good standard of education across a range of subjects
- Excellent numeracy/literacy skills
- Working knowledge of national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes
- Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislation
