We are currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors for a range of secondary schools across Essex. Whether you’re looking for consistent full-time work or flexible day-to-day opportunities, we can tailor roles to suit your availability.
This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain classroom experience in a supportive school environment.

The Role – Cover Supervisor
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. You will deliver pre-set lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout the lesson.
Role Requirements – Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with young people (school-based or similar)
- Be confident managing behaviour and leading a classroom
- Deliver pre-set work clearly and effectively
- Demonstrate strong communication and classroom presence
- Be adaptable, reliable, and professional
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
- Hold the right to work in the UK
