Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Labour with DBS to join our construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to various building projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their skills across multiple trades. All positions are paid roles, emphasizing the importance of commitment and professionalism in every task undertaken.
Duties
- Assist with a variety of construction tasks including carpentry, roofing, masonry, and painting to support project progress.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out assigned duties.
- Support plumbing and electrical work under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Aid in fabrication activities, preparing materials and components for installation or assembly.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including maintaining a clean work environment and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.
- Conduct routine inspections of work sites to ensure quality standards are maintained and report any issues promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or manual labour roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Familiarity with a range of hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
- Basic understanding of trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work is advantageous.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills on the job.
- Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check clearance or willingness to obtain one prior to employment.
