Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation meet brand standards
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current trends
- Manage food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and company policies
- Coordinate daily kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness
- Train and mentor junior staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service standards
- Ensure timely delivery of dishes to meet service expectations during busy periods
- Monitor staff performance and conduct regular appraisals to promote professional development
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
