Major Recruitment are looking for Class 1 drivers (HGV 1) to work for our client based in Stowmarket.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay with consistent full-time work, and genuine long-term opportunity.
Using both curtain side and box trailers and a mix of single and double deck trailers, to deliver palletised goods to retail stores across the UK. Store personnel will unload trailers, you will we need to open trailer and unsecure / secure load.
The Role:
- Night shifts starts - 15:00-18:00 Mon-Fri
- £17.19 ph Mon-Fri - plus ++additional £17.50 per shift++
- £18.75 Saturday
- £22.50 Sunday
- Multi drop - Retail Store Deliveries - Unloaded by store personnel.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- A valid CE Licence (HGV Class 1)
- DQC Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience
- Excellent communication skills
- No more than 6 points for minor offences (no IN, DD, DR endorsements)
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience delivering to retail or commercial sites (preferred but not essential).
- A strong focus on customer service, with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously.
- The ability to work to tight schedules while maintaining high safety standards.
